As the engine heats and cools, the seal will relax, then it leaks. Usually about 300 miles. Remove the filter. Examine the seal face carefully. If ok, can reuse, but for the price a new one is best. Put a little oil on the seal and tighten by hand. Top up the oil and see how it goes.
